Victorium Volleyball will host Open Gyms and Open Houses prior to tryouts so that families can meet our coaching staff, learn about our culture, program goals, and how we are training our student athletes for success.
Open Gym sessions will be run by our coaches in a fun, fast-paced, game like environment to ensure maximum touches for players, with coaches interacting and providing feedback. This is a great opportunity for athletes and coaches to get to know each other.
“During the Open House Period a club may offer a maximum of 3 Open House sessions for each age group that is not more than 2 hours in length. The club MAY evaluate potential club members by running them through skills tests and physical tests, MAY talk to the players and their parents about their club and MAY let you know about what level you might fit into in their club. The club MAY NOT offer (verbal, written or implied) a player a position on any of their teams, MAY NOT collect any commitment fees or down payments to hold a spot on their team, MAY NOT ask a player for a commitment prior to tryouts, and MAY NOT require you to attend more than one Open House session at their club.”
Victorium Volleyball Open House sessions include open gym for the players with coaches sharing our format and expectations for tryouts so that athletes are mentally and physically prepared. They will be available after each session to meet families, offer evaluations and answer questions. Our director will introduce our coaching staff, and host an informative presentation about thirty minutes into each session, providing an overview of the club, our philosophy, and what makes Victorium Volleyball a unique experience.
