Mary Beth has 30 years of youth sport leadership including serving as Athletic Director at St. John XXIII Catholic School, as an integral member of the Notre Dame Preparatory Athletic Department and as a club director at AZ Sky Volleyball Club, successfully running one of the largest clubs in the state, Mary Beth’s ability to positively shape the lives of young athletes fueling them to succeed on and off the court is unparalleled. Driven by her love for kids and a passion for sport, Mary Beth is dedicated to empowering young athletes by focusing on their overall balance and development, body, mind and spirit.
Beth Lemke
Lead Coach for Club & All Skills Academy
Bio:
Beth is a seasoned volleyball coach, with 20 years of club and high school coaching experience. Some of her proudest coaching moments include winning back to back high school state titles while at Northwest Christian and being named Arizona Republic small school coach of the year in 2011.
Beth loves the game of volleyball and is passionate about helping young athletes find that same love for the sport, while having fun improving their game. She also believes that through volleyball many life lessons are learned, including teamwork, respect, camaraderie, time management and how to deal with adversity. Beth’s coaching style focuses on the complete growth process of each player and even though she’s very competitive and wants to win, she doesn’t get caught up in the results. Beth will be our lead coach for Victorium Volleyball. Beth will also lead our weekly All Skills Academy.
Beth is married to Jeff and has 3 grown children – Sarah, Anne and Tom.

Brittanie Favata
16 Elite Assistant Coach
Bio:
Brittanie was born and raised here in AZ and after being away for roughly 12 years she has returned home. She is a seasoned volleyball player with 17 years of experience. Most recently, Brittanie was living in Scotland and attending the University of Edinburgh where she earned her law degree. The following year she put down the jersey and picked up the clipboard to become the assistant coach. She hasn’t looked back and has a passion for teaching and passing on her love for the game. When she is not playing, she is either reading, enjoying the latest podcast or working with her dog, Smith, on the agility field.

Bio:
Brooke is a native Phoenician and played volleyball for Arizona Juniors for 8 years. She was a four year varsity athlete at Xavier College Prep where she helped her team win the first three State Championships (1996,1997,1998) for the program. She competed as the starting setter at both the University of Wyoming and then transferred to Saint Mary’s College of California. After graduating with a degree in Maritime Archaeology she played overseas in Almeria, Spain. Upon returning from Europe, she went into the corporate advertising and marketing world, got married, inherited a couple kids, and had a couple more. In 2014 she went back to school and got her degree in Viticulture and Enology at the Southwest Wine Center and is currently the owner and winemaker of Vino Stache Winery in Elgin, AZ. Brooke started her coaching career as a student assistant in high school at Brophy College Prep where they won their 1st state title in 1998. She has coached at all age groups with NorCal Juniors, Club Red Juniors and is excited to join the talented team of coaches and athletes at Victorium.

I have a passion for volleyball because it allows you to compete! Volleyball teaches you how to overcome adversity. It’s a community. The sport challenges me, and has made me a better person. I learned what it means to be a good teammate, how to be a leader, how to be coachable. I absolutely LOVE the element of competition and that you truly have to win as a team. I learned several life lessons I have been able to carry into my adult life. And… it’s FUN!

Olivia is a member of the Grand Canyon University Women’s Club Volleyball team. She had an outstanding career as a setter at Sandra Day O’Connor High School and continues to excel as a leader and captain of the GCU Women’s Club Team, earning several accolades throughout her collegiate experience. Olivia was named MVP of the MWVC Conference in 2018 and 2019 after winning three consecutive conference championships. Olivia has coached club and worked various camps and clinics in Arizona for the last three years and enjoys giving back to the sport she is passionate about.

Sarah Svorinic
Club Setting Coach
Bio:
Sarah has been fortunate to have trained with some exceptional coaches throughout her athletic career and she has remained very passionate about volleyball and her ability to give back to younger players through coaching; hopefully passing on her love for the game. As a Phoenix Firefighter and Paramedic, Sarah deals daily with a multitude of intense situations where she has used life lessons and leadership skills learned through sport to enable her to make good strategic decisions in her job and in her life. Sarah’s experiences as a collegiate student athlete have given her the grit and determination needed to accomplish her goals and dreams as well as making life long friendships playing a game she loves. “Its a privilege to work with young athletes and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community and pass on my love for the game. Volleyball has been an incredible part of my life and coaching allows me to pay if forward.”

Bio:
Wellington Afusia is enjoying his first year as a student coach for GCU Men’s Club Volleyball team. Afusia is a Grand Canyon University student majoring in Business Management with minors in accounting and finance, and economics. At Carson High School in California, Afusia was a four-year varsity volleyball player, leading the Colts to their first-ever championship title in 2014. Afusia also won two gold medals, a silver, and a bronze medal in the boys Junior National Championships for Huntington Beach. Besides serving as the captain and president for the Men’s Club Volleyball team, Afusia also has experience coaching and running volleyball clinics in Arizona and Southern California.
